A TRILLION PESO MARCH

“This miracle has only just begun. It inspires us through the tears, songs, and fervent prayers of those who cried out for justice. It kindles a moral fire in our hearts to eradicate corruption once and for all. Let us nurture this miracle until our demands are fully realized. The battle against this despicable evil of corruption shall continue."

Most Rev. Jose Colin Bagaforo, DD

To All Partners of CLCNT,

The Trillion Peso March, held at the People Power Monument, was nothing short of a miracle—a profound work of Divine Providence. With no funds to begin and only 11 days to prepare, we rallied more than 70,000 outraged citizens against the brazen and systemic corruption plaguing our nation. Armed solely with a shared mission to transform the country, over 83 civil society organizations—alongside schools, universities, dioceses, and faith communities—joined our prayer rally in solidarity.

We are profoundly grateful for standing with us in pursuit of the common good. We extend our deepest thanks to our generous donors, those who ensured our security, the brave souls who shared powerful testimonies and speeches, the different government agencies, and the tireless members of our various committees. As your spiritual leaders, we commit to walking alongside you, just as Our Lord, the Good Shepherd, tends to His flock.

We extend special thanks to Pablo Virgilio Cardinal David, President of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines, for his inspiring surprise visit, bringing his flock from Kalookan to amplify our voices. None of this would have been possible without God’s guiding hand.

This miracle has only just begun. It inspires us through the tears, songs, and fervent prayers of those who cried out for justice. It kindles a moral fire in our hearts to eradicate corruption once and for all. Let us nurture this miracle until our demands are fully realized. The battle against this despicable evil of corruption shall continue.

Once again, thank you for being our steadfast partners in this sacred mission.

Cardinal Pablo Virgilio David delivers speech at Trillion Peso March

It is never too late to be converted.

“Walang stewardship, walang delikadesa, walang konsensya.”

Dean Mel Sta Maria

“Be better than us. Be a generation wiser, more resolute, and more faith-oriented.”

“If we want peace, work for justice.”

– St. Paul VI

Bishop Elias L. Ayuban, Jr., CMF, DD

Former chief justice Maria Lourdes Sereno delivers speech at Trillion Peso March

So parang mang multo rin sila. At ngayon panay ghost flood control projects nga tayo. Kaya kami po sa Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches sa B1M at sa National Council for the Evangelical for Family and the Constitution unite. Kasama niyo kami. Pinagdadasal namin ang bawat isa sa inyo.

Sinasabi namin na bigyan kayo ng kalakasan. Ipaglaban ng bayan to at tayo titigil. We formed our coalition to call out the post legislation that destroy Filipino families, bills that weaken the basic unit and a nurturing environment that should instead develop our young people to be moral and useful citizens of our country. We ask our country bihira ang panahong ito. We must not let this moment pass. We must pray, repent, act, file cases, press the prosecution to build strong cases. And we pray that the judiciary will do its part. God bless our country. God bless the Filipino people.

Salamat po.”

Philippine Jesuits

Philippine Jesuits

The Jesuits, together with the Ateneo de Manila University contingent, Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan, and members of the wider Ignatian family, joined thousands of Filipinos in the Trillion Peso March, a protest movement demanding accountability and transparency in the use of public funds.

Carrying banners and uniting their voices with other sectors of society, the Ignatian contingent underscored that the call to end corruption and ensure just governance is not only a political issue but also a moral imperative. The march highlighted the grave social consequences of misused government resources, especially for the poor and marginalized, and the need for urgent structural reform.

For the Jesuits and their partners, participation in the march was an expression of their mission of faith that does justice. Rooted in Catholic social teaching and inspired by the Universal Apostolic Preferences of the Society of Jesus, they affirmed that integrity, solidarity, and service to the common good must guide both leaders and citizens in shaping the nation’s future.
